Write for us
We welcome pitches from writers with a clear, original idea about kitchen craft, ingredients, tools, foodways or the seasonal table. Send proposals through the Contact page; a concise note is enough to begin.
What makes a good pitch
A useful proposal names its subject, explains the central question or idea, and shows what a reader will understand after reading it. We favour specific evergreen pieces that can be handled with care and clarity, rather than broad surveys or unsupported claims.
Topics and approach
We are interested in cooking methods, ingredient choices, kitchen objects, food history and the customs around meals. Pitches should fit the publication's country-minded, observant voice, while making room for different kitchens and traditions.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short description of the piece and a brief note about your approach. Please do not send a full draft unless it has been requested.
A kitchen is made of more than recipes
We look at the choices, customs and skills around cooking, with the patience to notice what a tool, ingredient or season brings to the table.
